The program aims at supporting local communities to engage in the production and provision of Tooro’s cultural products and services, targeting the developing tourism potential in the region. The focus is on the performing arts, such as supporting cultural troupes and drama groups, regional cultural exhibitions, promoting homestay services for tourists, village tour guides, local production and marketing arts and crafts, as well as supporting creativity in folklore entertainment. Under this program, the organisation plans to establish a cultural tourism center in Fort Portal city as a basis to promote cultural tourism. The intent is to engage the underserved communities in meaningful life-changing ways. It involves training women and youth in art and crafts, leading unique community tours, etc.
